ZeeVee AV over IP training program approved for InfoComm Renewal Units

ZeeVee, which is distributed in Australia by AV Distributors, has announced that it has been named an official InfoComm International Renewal Unit (RU) Provider.

This means more than 9,000 professionals who hold InfoComm International’s Certified Technology Specialist credentials will be able to earn RUs towards their certification by completing certain ZeeVee education programs.

The ZyPer AV over IP Training program can be completed for 2.5 RUs. This program is designed to help educate system integrators and AV installers on the new technologies available to enable IP-based media distribution solutions. The basics of IP as an introductory phase are covered, as well as topics such as the 7-Layer OSI reference model, IP addressing and switching technologies. Hands on training with the ZyPer4K system is also provided and attendees physically interact with the equipment to install, configure and deploy a fully functional IP video distribution system.

“We are very pleased to have our ZyPer AV over IP Training course recognised by InfoComm International RU,” said ZeeVee CEO Bob Michaels.

“ZeeVee set out to create an innovative and stimulating AV over IP training program to continue our efforts in driving industry education and adoption of standard IP technologies. Attendees leave our training with a greater understanding and benefits of distributing video over an IP network.”

“ZeeVee has shown a commitment to bettering the AV industry through the delivery of quality training that supports accreditation,” said InfoComm International CTS, RCDD, Executive Director and CEO David Labuskes.

“By fostering professional development, ZeeVee has demonstrated its leadership and strong support of the industry.”
