The 251 features two powerful, cool-running channels of on-board amplification that are capable of generating Meridian’s audio performance for a variety of analogue speaker applications. It can act as an integrated amplifier, delivering 100W for two passive loudspeakers or a soundbar for media room projects.
The 251 is also enabled for high resolution audio, including Master Quality Authenticated (MQA) and can be deployed to run a 2.1 system with a separate subwoofer or used as the hub for distributed audio applications.
It offers support for Roon and can be the endpoint for Meridian’s Sooloos music management platform. The 251 also offers IP and IR control, a native iPad network control app and Meridian Sooloos control, as required.
Other Digital Signal Processing (DSP) technologies within the unit include upsampling and apodising filters, jitter reduction and lip synching. These enhance the audio experience and eliminate signal timing and alignment issues.
The 251 Powered Zone Controller is quick and simple to install and set up, with web based setup and optional rack mount kit and VESA mounting bracket available.
