Naim has released its latest compact wireless music system, the Mu-so Qb. Controlled by a powerful audio brain, Mu-so Qb is alive with custom-made features all designed by Naim’s engineers in audio laboratories in England. The speakers have a contoured glass-filled polymer casing and bass radiators that help create huge low frequencies.
Simple to control and easy to connect, Mu-so Qb generates 300W that unmasks music with a sound that defies its size.
The touch screen interface features volume control made from a solid aluminium ring which runs the circumference of the touch screen interface with its patent-pending illumination system.
At the back of the unit an extruded aluminium heat sink has been installed to maximise thermal performance.
Naim’s audio engineers installed microfibre dome tweeters for its stiffness and dampening qualities while custom mid-range drivers provide crystal clear speech and emotively powerful vocals.
Driving Mu-so Qb is a 32-bit digital signal processor. It’s the same high-spec design as in the original Mu-so system, but it has been finely tuned by the engineers to work perfectly with the smaller cabinet space. It controls the flow of music information to each individual speaker.
Mu-so Qb has two passive radiators. They work in conjunction with a custom-made woofer that’s driven by a 100W amplifier to create good quality low frequencies.
The whole cabinet sits on an illuminated base of high-grade acrylic that provides the foundation for the electronics and speakers to shine.
The main body is made from a 20% glass-filled polymer, chosen for its strength, rigidity and dampening.
The Naim control app for ios and android devices puts a world of music at the users fingertips. The app includes a simple set up wizard so the user can be online and listening to more music in no time.
Mu-so Qb is supplied with a Classic Naim Black speaker grille as standard. New dimensions of colour can be added to complement a living space and style. The colours range from deep blue, vibrant red and burnt orange.
